Happy Halloween Reformation Day!!
Though you won’t hear much if anything about it on the news programs today – long before this day was known as Halloween, it was celebrated as Reformation Day – and this year is a significant anniversary for today marks the 499th anniversary of the day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the Wittenberg Church door. This coming year will be full of events leading up to the 500th anniversary of this event – and no doubt as the year goes by you will read more and more about it, even in the secular press.

Brother Martin, a monk and a scholar, had struggled for years with his church, the church in Rome. He had been greatly disturbed by an unprecedented indulgence sale.
